Minneriya National Park, located in Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle, is world-famous for the spectacular “Gathering of Elephants” – the largest meeting of Asian elephants seen anywhere in the world. Especially between July and October, hundreds of elephants congregate around the ancient Minneriya Tank in search of water and fresh grass, creating an unforgettable wildlife spectacle.
